This edition includes a special interview with Peter Cundall AM and his commitment to the Botanic Gardens of Adelaide.  Peter is one Australia’s leading horticulturalist and television personalities and his valued support is of great benefit to the Foundation and our Gardens. 

Some time ago the Foundation Committee shared excitement about the G150 project to open the western side of the Botanic Gardens from Frome Road.  Now this is a reality with the new Western Entrance almost complete and with an extraordinary gate soon to open.  The marvellous rotating Ginkgo Gate designed by renowned artists Hossein and Angela Valamanesh will provide inspiration for attracting visitors through the new entrance.

To add to the Western Entrance is the news that work has begun on the Garden of Health garden bed layout.  This is another exciting initiative that will transform the Gardens.  I extend an invitation to you to ‘adopt’ a new garden bed within the Garden of Health to bring the complete collection to life as soon as possible for all South Australians to enjoy.  

Many of our supporters enjoyed our successful Home Grown Gala Dinner and I hope you join me in participating in our calendar of events including the Ladies Day Luncheon - Under The Wisteria and next year’s BiG Picnic Day Out, so please enjoy our Gardens through the coming summer months.
